Heart of Stone
A thousand half-loves must be forsaken to take one whole heart home.
~ Rumi, Words of Paradise: Selected Poems of Rumi
I found this on a beach near the entrance Waimea Canyon in Hawaii. It's a lovely, beautiful and peaceful beach. Where locals build stone altars to appease the sea Gods before entering the water... altars were everywhere.
This particular stone caught my eye because of it's shape. A heart, the shape of love personified.
